Artist JT Johnson Shows at Burgwin-Wright

Please join the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens in welcoming JT Johnson back for her second fourth Friday exhibit in our gallery. Her show, “Everything Under the Sun” opens June 28 with a reception from 6-9 p.m. and will be on exhibit until July 20.

As a self-taught artist, JT Johnson has found great success in her artistic endeavors. Her artistic passion was rekindled following her retirement to Wilmington. Since retiring, JT Johnson has won nine exhibition awards, and been juried in two international, one national, and one state-wide pastel exhibition.

JT Johnson’s works focus on every subject matter imaginable. JT Johnson works out of the ArtWorks Village, a community of over 50 artist studios. Her work has been featured in Wrightsville Beach magazine in 2017 and was on the cover of ArtGuide Magazine in 2018.

Built in 1770, the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Guided tours are offered on the hour from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Visit www.burgwinwrighthouse.com for more information about Fourth Friday, tours and other special events.
