Come listen to the music and dance to the songs of Colonial America

Join us for an evening talk by UNCW professor Dr. John Bennett about the impact of music and dance on American Colonial society. Enjoy music by Masonboro Parlor - John Bennett, Carole Green and Susan Wilzer and Mary Ruth Marshall.

Dedicated to preserving music and dance from the past, this group strives to achieve complete accuracy in their performances. Dr. Bennett will also demonstrate 18th century dances, such as the Virginia Reel and the Farmer’s Jig. This will be a "living history exhibit" and all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in dancing of the period throughout the evening!
