The monthly art crawl of downtown Wilmington galleries and art shows is this weekend, and the March edition of Fourth Friday includes mixed media works by Jamie J. Tilley at Acme Art, colorful spring paintings by Kay Billisoly at the Burgwin-Wright House and a dual exhibit featuring ink on paper by Bob Bryden and black-and-white photography by Harold Hodges at Art in Bloom. But the most fascinating attraction might be the new “cosmic chamber” at Expo 216, part of its “Death and Dying” exhibition. A mirror-paneled chamber outfitted with thousands of LED lights, the cosmic chamber is meant to recreate a near-death experience, something you (hopefully) won’t find anywhere else on a Friday night downtown. Details: 6-9 p.m. March 23 at various downtown Wilmington galleries, many of which provide refreshments. For a complete list of participating venues, go to ArtsCouncilOfWilmington.org.
