The Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens welcomes artist Helen Dixon with an opening reception for her show "Painting Outside the Box" on Friday July 26 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Admission is free; light refreshments will be served; this show will remain on display until August 17.

About the Artist:
Inspired by her daughter’s advice to “think outside the box” and use different color combinations, Dixon’s pieces are bold and vibrant. Her goal as an artist is to create something that no one has ever thought of before, things “so original that when one sees it they know it’s a Helen.” Dixon received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Her work is shown in Wilmington, Raleigh, Sanford and Bald Head Island.
