Native American Medical Scholarship

The Native American Medical Scholarship Award Program was started by The National Society in 1927 to give students of Native American descent the opportunity to pursue careers in nursing or in the field of health care and health education.

Eligible students must submit an application. Recipients will receive $1,500 per semester and the money is to be used strictly for tuition, books or for fees applicable to the student’s approved program. The grant is sent to the school and credited to the student’s account. Once a student is accepted, he or she may re-apply for continued funds each semester as long as the student remains in academic good standing.

The NC Society contributes annually to this scholarship program, which is administered by The National Society. For more information visit: http://nscda.org/student-resources/scholarship-opportunities/
